New Strategy of Online Article Submission Sites; of Google AdSense Sharing

It appears some new online article submission websites are attempting to increase online authors and articles by use of Google AdSense Sharing. Apparently if you have an AdSense Number then these sites will share 50% with you or so they say and this technique seems to be propelling some online article authors to take notice.

However, we all know that unless that website has been online since prior to 2000 then there is a good chance it will get little if any traffic until it has 50,000 pages of content or roughly 49,800 articles and that could take a while. Meanwhile the sharing of the ad revenue would not be significant. Of course some online article authors are scraping by and maybe a little money and taking a little bit of a risk makes a little bit of cents?

Is this merely a short-term trend as other new comers to the already saturated online article submission category grows? The New Strategy of Online Article Submission Sites; of Google AdSense Sharing is indeed interesting. will this new strategy continue; maybe and may be not say some, never the less this same thing is happening with the online eBook submission websites. Perhaps there are some cross-over strategies worth looking at. Please consider all this in 2006.

Article Marketing: Pack the Power

Jay Leno does it by using his deadpan appearance and audience raping voice on national television every night. Some folks leave him on even admitting they don’t like watching him, because it’s too hard to change the channel with the remote they are holding in their hand. Then quote him the next day to their friends, who were energetic enough to punch the power button before they went to sleep.

Publicize your know how.

Everyone has a skill. It’s something you develop to keep a job. Even those who don’t hold jobs have a skill of some kind, and if they consider it long enough, put some words behind it, and focus on what they can do with that skill they develop an expertise of accomplishment with their skill.

A very good friend was a miner, one of the most sought after miners in his league. After several years of watching him move up in his career I asked how he was doing that so fast. He handed me a copy of his resume. It was professionally typed, looked very straightforward and up to date, until I saw the education portion – minimized at the bottom. There was nothing untrue on there, but unless you read it very carefully, you would have assumed he had an engineering degree.

Because of the documented information on the upper portions of his resume, nobody looked closely at the bottom and he was allowed to move up in the company based on his expertise and experience.

Market your product or service.

Know your product or service and design a marketing plan that presents your most effective knowledge about that product or service. Present the best information you have, giving a glowing interest in your product that will entice others to be interested too.

I have a good friend who sells Avon. She’s in her late sixty’s and quite a dish (even according to her husband). She is quite tall, dresses in soft attractive colors, and wears her makeup with a keen hand. She knows what looks good on her, has worn the same colors with a few style changes and stays up with the current “look”. If anyone asks what she recommends, she has a list of products in any category or price range that she readily suggests.

She does not advertise, but presents herself and her product well and makes a nice tidy profit each month from sales to family and friends. When I asked a few of her clients why they buy? Every one of them said, “Jean knows her product and shows up on time. We can count on her, so we purchase from her.”

Get recognition for what you do.

It’s important to stand up and be counted, search out those opportunities, and bask in the limelight when it’s offered.

The kind of fame you want is the kind that is offered when you’ve accomplished something. Your accomplishments are grand. You’ve got more going for you than personal acclaim, you have accomplished much and you should be honored.

Motivate your clients.

With personal recognition for your accomplishments, you gain respect from your clients. You have an ability to motivate them and lead them to the market and sell them what you have to offer. It isn’t difficult with some serious recognition behind you to tell your clients what you feel they should do, because you are known as an expert in your field. Whether you have a major degree or not, doesn’t matter. The fact that you know what you are doing, can perform and project well means that you are an expert.

Use the power you’ve obtained through know how, experience, and accomplishment to take your client by the hand and lead them to the product they need. You are a professional; give them your professional knowledge and charge for the results.

Make a profit.

You are a professional; charge a fair market price for your services or product and collect for your work. Professionals do not work for free.

Impact your market as never before. Be seen. Be alive. Be creative in your endeavors to brand your business and consume your market. Article Marketing Part 2 - Who Says You Can’t Write?

It’s obvious that the benefits of submitting your own articles to various different article directories are simply amazing.

You get free publicity.
You don’t pay for advertising.
You can have your own articles as a viral marketing tool.

And, much much more.

But, wait a minute.

“I can’t write. How can I submit my articles if I don’t even have one written?”

If this does not describe you and you’re already writing good articles on your own, then what are you waiting for?

Start publishing your own articles now.

If you belong to this “can’t write a single word” category, then stay with me here.

I don’t blame you for it but I believe this is a problem that can be fixed. I used to have no idea to write at all, but I knew my problem was because I was trying to write about something I didn’t know.

It’s a bit confusing but let me rephrase. Find something that you know a great deal about and if you are passionate enough about the topic, your juice will flow like water. Your head will generate more ideas than your writing speed can catch up.

For further help on writing an article, here are a few tips.

1. Enumerate your points, like what I’m doing now. A 500-word article can have 7 or 10 short points in it.

2. Look at some other articles of the same interest. Model (not copy) the writing skills of others.

3. Write your articles like writing stories. Writing your own experience sometimes help.

4. Write like you talk. Forget about grammar in your first round of writing. Go back to the article and fix your mistakes once the article is finished.

5. Write, write and write. Nothing helps more than practice. Your first article won’t be good, but the second one will be better. The hundredth article will be much better than the 50th. So, write more.

Still stuck with writer’s block? Then, I suggest two ways to get around.

1. Hire ghostwriters to write exclusively for you.

Ghostwriters are authors who will write on your behalf on any topics that you assign them. They′ll charge you for their service.

When the articles are complete, they are yours to keep. You can claim the authorship of the articles, put your name on these articles and often, claim the copyrights of the articles too.

Many Internet marketers are doing it simply because they don’t have time to write or they don’t have any expertise on the topics that they want to write.

2. Join private label article membership clubs.

For less than thirty dollars a month, you can get tons of contents which you can private label them with your own name.

But, be very careful because article directory owners don’t like duplicate contents in their databases. Make sure you modify the content of each article before you submit them to any article directory. You don’t want your name to get banned by these article directories.

On a special note, majority of private label rights operators put a cap on their membership sites. As soon as they have enough members, you won’t be allowed to join them until the existing members cancel their membership.

The two methods of creating your own articles above are definitely meant to help you get going. After having your articles in your hand, like most people say, the world is your oyster.

Zamri Nanyan owns BigArticleDirectory.com BigArticleDirectory.com and he welcomes authors worldwide to submit articles to his well-maintained Big Article Directory for free. 2. Create a flyer for each book you offer.

Hand out your flyer at business meetings or at any public place. Ask your audience to pass the flyer along to friends and associates. Offer one free report or ezine on the flyer to get new email addresses to send promotion to later.

3. Create a line or two about your book in your signature file that goes on every email you send.

After your name, title, and benefit statements, add something like: eBk: “Write your eBook or Other Book–Fast!” Include your addresses and phone numbers too.

4. Invest some money in book marketing.

Contact a book coach and schedule a low-cost introductory session to see if you are a match and will get what you need. Many authors print too many copies or use an expensive service to get book finished instead of putting aside an equal amount to market it.

5. Take a teleclass on how to market your book.

These low cost and low time investments can make your book the great seller it should be. Discover inexpensive ways to market via the phone and email. How convenient!

9. Learn more about Internet book marketing.

Think about reaching hundreds of thousands of your audience every week. When you give them what they want–free information–they will eventually buy. Many authors go the traditional path of talks, ads or press releases. They don′t always pay well for the effort.

10. Don’t stop marketing.

Many clients come to me and say they are discouraged their book didn’t sell well in four months. Replace doubt with patience for the process. Success takes many months, but once you get it, the Internet keeps it multiplied for you.

Don’t Miss These 10 Must Know Facts About Promoting Your Website with Article Writing

Most all ezine publishers need fresh content. Article writing is something that gets tedious to the publisher who sends out an ezine every week. Fresh, unique ideas are always attractive, and ezine authors don’t mind publishing others work, (along with a complete research box, (THIS IS YOUR AD) as well.

If you can learn and excel with this kind of content writing, you can win in two areas. Promoting your own site, or writing content for others site owners and earning dollars as a ghostwriter.

I have been writing and promoting on the web for over 3 years. Here are the tips I find most important to a beginning –article for promoting– writer.

Articles should be short enough to read in less than 5 minutes.
Ideally they should be between 300 and 600 words (an average page in a printed novel is about 300 words).
Top 10, or 7, (the number isn’t that important) Tips on (your subject) are great attention grabbers for articles to promote your website.

Write in short paragraphs, forget what you learned about in English class, if a paragraph is long, find a good point where you can cut it and put an extra line break. Browsing for content, readers are more likely to stick with reading something the eye can easily skim from top to end. (Notice with this article, I have added spaces between each bullet in this list :o)

If your article is long, break it into 2 or 3 parts. For a real web traffic puller, and list building technique, request them to sign up for an autoresponder version to receive 2nd or 3rd part. (be sure to give them opt-out options when you do it this way)

Here is a mistake I see many online authors’ making. Don′t use huge big vocabulary. You are not writing a thesis, or essay for school. Write so that someone with a 8th grade education could easily read it. Don′t try to impress with large vocabulary words, you will lose readers, who feel your writing is condesending to them. (See, how many do you think I may have lost using condesending?

Try to write with passion. Put feeling into your words. Pull in as many of the five senses, experience stories, as you can. For an example of this, read this article. Articles should educate, entertain or inform. Imagine how popular your article will be if it does all three.

Make sure your article is well formatted. You can post it at a site like ezinearticles.com and use their (”get this article page” to get your article in different formats, both text and html.) This sites also allow you to input your own personalized summary, and keywords, which allows webmasters to find them and use them as well.

Set a goal to publish a certain number of articles per week to a certain number of database sites.

It is easy to find sites to submit your articles too. Just go to google, type in articles, then, scroll to the bottom of the page. You will find a button which says, search within results.

With this search button type in “free articles” or “free content” or “free to republish″ and you will find several submission sites. You can also type “article submission directories”

I have set a goal to do five things each day toward promotion. Each persons goals will be different, but remember, to be effective you must write new content and promote on a consistent basis.

However, if you have a good article, it will also duplicate itself quickly and spread across the web like a forest fire out of control!

You can optimize your article to get the exact keyword density for search engines, but that could fill another whole article. For your main keyword, try to use it about 7-10 times throughout the whole page. This article’s goal is to find article writer-promoter, webmasters to list their articles at my new article database.

Ghostwriting - Who Knew it Would be So Profitable?

Who knew?

As I made plans to become a fulltime freelance writer, I read many books on the art of freelancing and how best to prepare for it. I was and am a Peter Bowerman disciple as I devoured his “Well-Fed” series books. So, as I began to follow the steps outlined in his book, I stumbled upon another local writer looking to subcontract a Ghostwriter. The client was interested in having a book written about his family and didn’t have the writing skills necessary to do the book. Hence, he was willing and able to pay someone with some writing talent to write it for him. Hmmmmm, I didn’t remember ghostwriting being mentioned in any of the books I had read previously. Sure! Why Not? The client wanted a fictional feel to it with a bit of suspense added to the plot. I knew I could do a great job, because I had just had a fictional thriller published. By the time it was said and done, I was getting paid some really great money and was enjoying every second of the job. Who knew Ghostwriting could be so lucrative? Certainly not me!

Do Ghostwriters only write biographies and memoirs?

No, ghostwriters write any type of document where the author claims writing credit and the true writer of the document is unknown. Haven’t you ever wondered how a popular author can crank out so many novels in one year? More than likely, they are using a staple of Ghostwriters. These type of writers can write more than biographies and memoirs. In essence, they can write anything you may need, such as dissertations, fiction, non-fiction, articles, short stories, newsletters etc. where the true author is concealed.

How Do I Hire a Reputable Ghostwriter?

Good question. For the sake of example, let’s suppose that you want your life story written. Perhaps you have had some family issues or a troubled time in your life that is concerning you. A good Ghostwriter will talk to you about these issues and offer possible solutions. One solution is to have the author’s name as a pseudonym. Perhaps fictionalize parts of the book and so on. A good ghostwriter should be able to communicate effectively with the client and also offer a contract and confidentiality agreement. They should also have references or client testimonials along with writing samples that you can review. The bottom line is that the client should feel comfortable working with the Ghostwriter. If you don’t keep searching…you will find someone that will resonate with you and your ideas.

What should be included in a Ghostwriting Contract?

There are a few components that are key: The cost of the book should be outlined in detail, how much of a retainer do they need to get started, will they bill each month or wait until the book is complete to bill? The client should have the opportunity to request a certain number of revisions which should be detailed in the contract. They should also have a time frame of how long the ghostwriting should take. BEWARE: Do NOT pay a Ghostwriter upfront for services. It is customary to either bill monthly, or pay 50% upfront and then the remainder when the project is complete. Anyone that pressures a client to pay 100% upfront should continue looking for another Ghostwriter.

So, next time you need a voice, hire a Ghostwriter, you’ll be glad you did.

Article Submission Software – Secret Article Marketing Weapon

Article submission software is not new to experienced article marketers. If you have just started to use articles to market your product, or business, then the whole concept of article marketing using article submission software could be fresh to you. Every successful internet marketer and webmaster has their private arsenal of marketing tools. Without them, there is a limit to what they can achieve within the 24 hours everyday. Businesses crawl at snail pace without these tools. As an article marketer, article submission software is their secret weapon.

But what if you are a new webmaster and author and want to try your hands on article marketing to get a rough feel about the workings of this traffic building technique first? By all means, try it! You can learn some tips here on how to submit articles if you intend to do so manually without the help of an article submission software.

If you are signing up the first time for all the article directories, remember to stick with the same username and password for all the sites for easy reference and recollection. The trick here is to use a auto form filler such as RoboForm or a browser with a built-in auto-fill feature such as Mozilla FireFox. Save your personal details in the profile and the tools will auto-populate the registration forms at the article directories. Roboform has a full featured free-trial version that allows you to save the login details for up to a certain number of sites.

Use a multi-tab browser that allows you to group numerous tabs and comes with easy tab group management. Open all the article directories, maybe in groups of 20 – 30 at a time and bookmark each group. Load each group to sign up for all of them. The next time you need to submit, simply call them up again. However, there is a limitation here as different article directories run on different login interfaces. So if you are using free auto form fillers or browser’s auto-fill function, there is a limit to the number of sets of login details you can save.

Article directories have varying requirements on your article such as its word count and format. Some come with built-in HTML editor, while others only accept articles in text format. The neatest way is to use notepad instead of Microsoft word for article content because it takes all the formatting out of the article.

Even with these tips, it can be extremely painful to submit an article one by one to each article directory. Many hours of time that could be spent writing more articles and making more sales are wasted. Moreover, article submission software nowadays would only set you back by approximately $100 – 150. A few sales can easily recoup this small investment and you are well on your way to profit from this powerful tool.

Follow The Advice of a Successful Self-Published Author

Successful Self-Publisher says no to traditional publishing

Self-publishing a book can be the only option for many authors. I had to work long and hard last year on a book proposal for a first-time author to get her book published. Self-publishing wasn’t her desired route.

But, we worked hard at the book proposal, and managed to land a $30,000 book advance, which is a great feat for a first-time author. She was happy she didn’t have to to self-publish her book. However, we still had to write the book!

Most people would scream with joy at such a large advance. In fact, most first-time authors get far less, and sometimes nothing at all - just the same as someone who is self-publishing a book. My client was pleased, but also knew that after paying her agent and me she’d still have to have a chunk of money to spend on selling a book. Unless your publisher believes you’ve got the next best seller, they won’t do much more than hand you a stack of post cards and a fistful of good wishes to market your book.

Michael Sterns - self-published author - figured it this way:

Let’s say you get picked up by a big-name publisher, and you sell 50,000 copies of the book. That may seem like quite a bit of money, until you figure that (unless you′re a really good negotiator), you′ll get 8-10% of the NET sales of the book. Michael did his calculations. If the book sells for $16, the wholesalers get about a 60% cut. That leaves about $6. Then, best case, you get 10% of that, or 60 cents per book. Multiply that by 50,000 books (a wild dream in almost all cases), and you′ll end up with $30,000. That, Michael figured, would barely get him out of debt.

“The decision at that point wasn’t hard,” Michael says. “All I had to do was see that even in the best case scenario, I couldn’t pay my rent and I’d still be living on peanut butter sandwiches.”

Math and finances aside, there was also the issue of control of book publishing. Like many self-publishers, Michael wanted complete control over the self-published book. Many authors become frustrated with the changes publishers want to make to their babies. Publishers are in it to make a profit, and not necessarily to make their authors happy; unless, that is, the author sells a lot of books. Then, maybe, both parties will walk away smiling.

Michael Sterns took the self publishing route for what are now obvious reasons. He also decided to use high-quality offset printers instead of POD (print on demand). “I believe that to be successful, your book can’t look like it is self-published,” he says. While print on demand quality is about on a par with offset printing in black and white, Michael felt that the quality simply wasn’t there for full color.

His emphasis on quality, and of course his passion for his work, are perhaps two major reasons that Michael Sterns has sold over 33,000 copies of his first book, Kokopelli and the Butterfly, and almost 9,000 copies of the book’s sequel.

What’s in a good children’s book? Great illustrations, a moving, touching, or funny story that educates, and things to keep the child engaged. When I gave Michael’s books to my grandchildren, they couldn’t put them down for hours!
