Article Marketing - How to Sell Your Articles on the Internet All Day Every Day

Article writing and marketing can be a profitable way to make a living. Now there are those on the internet that will tell you that you cannot make money with your articles on the internet. My answer to that is I hope those folks who believe that are my competition.

An easy way

One of the easiest ways to make money with your articles on the internet is to create what I call action articles. An action articles is simply one of your articles with a few “action questions” added at the end of the article.

What’s an action question? That’s a good question - pun intended.

An action question is a question designed to help a reader begin to take action on what they have just read. This is important because most people will read an article and think that’s nice, I ought to do this. Then nothing happens.

When you create questions that help the reader take action, you become the hero that gets them going. This also benefits you because if the reader has been successful with one of your products, they are much more likely to buy more of your products.

So add some action questions to one of your articles. Turn that article into a pdf document and upload it to your web site. You can get a free pdf converter and pdf995.com or buy an expensive one like Adobe Acrobat.

I sell my action articles on my web sites for seven dollars. While seven dollars is not going to make you rich, it is going to get customers into your product funnel and make it much more likely for them to invest in your more expensive products.

Article Marketing - Step by Step Instructions for Easy Article Marketing

For easy article marketing, there are just a few easy steps that you should follow in order to make the most of this innovative and effective marketing method. Article marketing is fairly simple in its constituent parts, and consists essentially of just distributing articles across the web and thus drawing traffic to your website. Here are some easy steps to get started with easy article marketing:

1 Write Articles that are Relevant. It is important to make your written content relevant to your target audience. Make sure you keep this in mind while you write and when you choose topics.

2 Make your Articles Current. Although some fields might necessitate articles written about subjects that aren’t current, with article marketing it is generally your best bet to write about up and coming topics in order to draw the biggest audience.

3 Submit to a Distribution Service. There are many services and article databases online that allow you to submit articles for free quickly and easily, and that have a wide range of clients who purchase articles from them. Often, these are free of charge, but sometimes you can pay a small fee in order to move your articles to the front of the line, and this is usually worth it.

Following these easy instructions can help you make the most out of article marketing with hardly any hassle at all. This can be a huge benefit to your organization, and can greatly increase traffic to your website.

Speak to Your Audience - The Top 8 Ways to Make Your Listeners Love You

The key to a powerful presentation is to connect with members of your audience individually. This ‘human element’ is what makes the difference between an average presentation with some good information, and an excellent presentation that really impacts audience members on a personal level.

The bigger the audience, the harder this gets. You have to remember that an audience is made up of many different individuals, all with their own unique interests and expectations. It is hard to satisfy every person every time, but you can take some steps to ensure that your audience members feel a connection with you as a speaker and as a person.

1. Create a friendly environment

From the moment the first audience member arrives, you should exude positive energy. Remember that people will immediately make first impressions about you before you even begin your presentation. It is important that you appear positive, friendly, confident and approachable.

2. Face your audience

There is nothing worse than watching the back of a presenter’s head as he reads his Power Point slides. Make sure that you are always facing your audience. Visual aids are just that: aids. The audience should be focused on you, not your slides.

3. Make eye contact

Do your best to make eye contact with every member of your audience. Don’t get distracted by things you see out the window, or by the clock on the back wall. Your listeners’ eyes will follow your eyes, so if they see you looking out the window, they’ll wonder what you’re looking at and they’ll look too! Keep their focus on you by remaining focused on them.

Be careful that you don’t focus too much on one or two people, as it could make them feel uncomfortable. An exception to this rule could be if you are focusing on the most important people in the group: the decision-makers (your boss, the top client, etc.). They might expect extra attention from you, which leads me to the third point…

4. Know your audience

Do your homework. Know who will be attending your presentation and why. If you are pitching a new idea, make sure you keep the full attention and interest of the key players in the room—the decision makers.

Be sure to prepare your presentation with your audience members in mind. Have you taken into consideration their needs and expectations? Are you giving them the information that they want (or maybe need) to hear in a format that will appeal to them?

5. Tell stories

Throughout history, some of the greatest thinkers have reverted to storytelling to make their lessons more clear. Philosophers and religious leaders especially, have used stories to illustrate complex concepts and moral values.

Use real-life stories that your listeners can relate to in order to drive a point home and have it be remembered. People are also more interested in listening to a good story than a boring lecture.

6. Use humor

Humor, when used effectively, can lighten the mood, make people feel more relaxed and help them to remember the things you say. Using humor does not mean you should suddenly become a stand-up comedian rattling off jokes right and left. It shouldn’t be forced either.

Use common sense and your best judgment when interjecting humor. And remember that not everyone has the same sense of humor—what you think is funny could be dumb, immature or disrespectful to someone else. If in doubt, refrain.

7. Be respectful

This point really goes without saying, but just to be clear: racist, sexist and elitist comments are unacceptable in every public presentation. Have respect for every member of your audience at all times!

8. Read your audience

You need to pay attention to your audience just as much as you would like them to pay attention to you. An attentive speaker will notice when energy levels are low, listeners are losing interest, or individuals are not paying attention. It’s your job to change the situation in your favor. This is a good time to tell a story, inject humor, or maybe just take a break.

An Article with No Ulterior Motive: Guess What It’s About

I’ve written 5 novels and 2 non-fiction works. In addition, I’ve penned over 200 articles on a wide variety of subjects. But I’m also an avid reader and love to read what piques other writer’s interests. They tend to stay within the guidelines of subjects related to their expertise. I would expect a travel agent to write about finding a good hotel in Rome, or a financial planner explaining the pros and cons of annuities. But some of these other writers have strayed all over the place.

I see some writers that appear to have an unlimited amount of knowledge about every topic. I wrote an article that describes how to spot an ‘expert.’ It’s a tongue-in-cheek discourse on why there are so many experts with so little actual qualifications. So, when I see an article that is really masking an opinion piece, I tend to wonder about their ulterior motives.

It’s one thing to write a letter to the editor of a newspaper giving a viewpoint on a current subject, like the bird flu or the Iraqi war. It’s another thing to write an article from the point of view as an expert. I think that, in those instances, the author should begin with the phrase, “I’m no expert in this area. This is just my opinion.” At least we’ll know where he or she stands.

I’m not immune to this problem. Many on my recent articles are purely my own feelings on a particular matter. I always give my qualifications either in the beginning or at the end, in the biography. For example, if I’ve written about travel, I tell how many trips I’ve taken and to what locales. This way, the reader can understand what level of expertise I’m representing. Therefore, I expect the same from fellow authors.

If you say you are a marketing person and speaking about pets, don’t be ashamed to say so. You happen to own a pet and that’s fine and therefore, fellow pet owners will relate to you. But don’t pretend to be a pet aficionado or veterinarian. Always start the paper with a disclaimer that can even be self-deprecating, for effect. For example:

“I don’t know much about the government of Kenya, but I would like to make a comment from a layman’s perspective.” Isn’t that self-explanatory? Or “I have read about the problems surrounding global warning and would like to express an opinion.” Now, is that too much to ask? At least the reader will be prepared for what follows, without any confusion in regard to credentials.

In addition, I appreciate the need for self-promotion by writing about subjects related to the writer’s website they are hawking. I’ve read everything from artwork to zoology in attempts to lure the reader to their site. I would love everyone to come to mine, but I don’t expect that everyone is interested in how the Yellow Pages function and how advertisers can save money. Or where to get the best health information on the web. I would never stoop to such tactics. Of course you can simply skip to my bio at the end, but that would be very self-serving, even mentioning that fact.

No. I’m far above that sneaky approach. I would rather be known as the honest, hard-working writer, that places his disclaimer in the very first paragraph. Leave the smoke and mirrors to the lesser amateurs that would rather have you believe they actually knew what they were writing about.

Finally, I would also hope that they might take the time to proofread their work. I constantly find misspellings, punctuation and grammatical errors galore. They tend to write in a hurry to churn out that next valuable piece that links them to their website or other promotion. They value quantity over quality and sacrifice content and pertinent data. I find that many of these articles have no point whatsoever. They ramble on and on filling space and wasting our time. As an intelligent reader, I imagine that you have gotten a great deal of insight into the meat to this discourse and will remember the lessons taught here. You will also note that, compared to many other ‘fakes’ masquerading out there, this is the ‘genuine’ article.

Making Money With Free Site Content

Articles provide your visitors with more than just an overview of your product or service. They can provide readers with valuable information and/or solution to a serious problem. Writing articles that change lives is not hard to do.

You can go about publishing articles on your site in several ways. First, you can either write the articles yourself or have them written by someone else. Most online Entrepreneurs prefer to take advantage of free content provided by affiliate programs and content sites. The benefit? Quality content for free. Keep in mind, however, that while there are literally millions of free articles available to site owners, the topics of the articles should be about your products or service.

While there are a variety of different types of articles you can use, the most popular ones are the informative articles. Informative articles are excellent for promoting whatever service you may be offering. If you are promoting a product, then you may want to look at another popular article type…the product review.

Obtaining free content:
When considering free article content, there are many sites that will provide this service for registered webmasters and affiliates. Registering with the site to use their content, in most cases, will require your agreement not to author or change the article from its original state. This can be bad for your page ranking if the article is already being used by another website. The reason? Duplicate content.

Most search engines look at duplicate content as a no-no and will penalize sites for such an act by not indexing or displaying pages with duplicate content. Therefore, to avoid getting into trouble with the Big Boys at Google or Yahoo, you might consider registering at a site that allows members to download, re-write and publish the articles they provide.

One site that provides free content to its members on a weekly basis is the MakingYouRicher Wealth Building program. With thousands of free articles covering niche topics ranging from weight loss to male enhancement to internet marketing, there’s a chance that you will be able to find enough content to fill your site.

Modifying your articles for the best exposure:
When modifying articles for use on your site, it’s best to treat each paragraph individually as opposed to trying to re-write the entire article in one sitting. By recreating one article at a time, you are able to keep the content connected in such a way that your reading will find it easy to read, beneficially informative, and very rewarding. The object here is to keep a consistent flow of ideas and information relating to the topic you’re covering.

Try re-writing the first paragraph of a free article first. Re-read the paragraph to yourself and see how it flows. If needs be, re-write the paragraph again until the information in it resonates and you are satisfied with it. To enhance your article for SEO (search engine optimization) you will want to use as many keywords in your article as possible. Repeat this process for each paragraph, keeping a literal connection with the one before it. Continue this until your article is perfect and ready for the public eye.

If you’d like a detailed guide on modifying content and a list of the most popular keywords, register to become a member of the MYR Program and make use of all the free tools that are available.

Distributing your articles for maximum profit potential:
A few things you should remember before distributing your article is that, one… your article should appear on your site, and two… you should submit your article to as many article directories and online libraries as possible. This task can be very time consuming. However, it can also be very rewarding for your business.

It’s a good idea to write two versions of your article before you do anything with it. Version one should go onto your website and version two should be submitted to the directories. Remember to include a link in article one to article two to improve your search engine ranking. Once you have your article ready to go, it’s time to get exposures.

Although, submitting your article can be time consuming…as we mentioned previously, you can use special article-submission software, like DirectorySubmitter. The program, which is free to access and download, will submit your article to 1700 popular article directories, improve your search engine rankings and make your life a lot easier by not having to do the submitting manually. If you don’t mind the work, you can find all the article directories and libraries etc online, and then manually submit your article one-by-one.

Some final words before get started:
Before you submit your articles, be very sure that you have a good bio box that will allow your readers to click through to your website. A Bio box tells the reader who you are and what your experience is.

Article submission will help your business in several ways. Here are a few of them:

• Establish you as an expert in your field: This will gain you more trust and credibility, and will encourage more clicks through and sales.
• Create back links: These links will increase your Page Rank with Google and allow you to get a better position in their search engine.
• It will also bring more people to your website through the links.

So, remember, you can either write your own articles, have someone write them for you, or take advantage of free content from the programs like MakingYouRicher. Either way… whatever method you choose… the more articles you post, the more sales you stand to make!

I Have My Manuscript, Now What? A Look at the World of Publishing

You’ve spent endless nights hammering away at your book. You’ve rewritten it, you’ve edited it, and you had it professionally proofed. Your baby is finally done and you’re ready to send your precious manuscript off to a publisher, thinking that writing it was the hardest part. Wrong!

Actually, getting your blood, sweat and tears published may be the hardest part of the whole process. You’ll need to determine if a publisher will be required, or if you’d rather self-publish your book. There are pros and cons to both sides, some of which are discussed below.

To work with a publisher, you’ll need to send out query letters and/or a book proposal. This is a letter or a few pages briefly describing your text, why it is unique, characteristics of your target market and how you can help market the book. Most publishers don’t accept unsolicited manuscripts, so you’ll need to convince them to read yours. If they request that you forward your entire manuscript, you have one foot in the door. Be prepared to send more than one query and don’t expect a response next week.

There are writer’s guides that serve as excellent resources to find publishers who specialize in your particular genre. These guides list the percentage of new authors published as well as the percentage of sales they pay. You may find pay rates ranging from 5-10% of sales. Some pay on wholesale sales and others on the retail amount. Do the math. Perhaps your book will retail for $14.95 and the publisher will pay 6% on retail. This means you will earn 90 cents per book sold. Of course don’t forget that the publisher is doing all the printing, distributing, and marketing of your text.

Another route you may want to consider is self-publishing. You will be responsible for all the printing, distributing and marketing costs involved, but you will also get to retain all the profits. There are book printing companies as well as companies that specialize in assisting the self-publisher through every step along the way.

Finally, there’s age old debate about which method is better; using a publishing company or self publishing your own book. You know your situation and you know what will work best for you. You’ll want to consider how much time or money you have to invest in the project. That should give you an idea which route to take. Using a publisher takes less time on your part, but you’ll forfeit some of the royalties by using this method. If you self publish, you’ll have to pay “up front” and do the initial work to get the ball rolling on sales of your book.

Either way, publishing is your call. With a little persistance and hard work you CAN get your book to Market. So, go for it!!

How To Become A Better Writer

When we look around, we are surrounded by the power to write. People write everyday because they see that writing can accomplish many things for them and for others. They can use writing to effectively express themselves, to complement a artwork or to introduce an idea. Writing has many styles and many different ideas because of how diverse we are as human beings. When we write, we are usually subjected to how good we see our writing to be. It may not be very obvious, but even the best writers doubt if their work is good from time to time. Writing is not a science but merely a skill that can be improved over time.

Here are several key things that should be done to improve your writing:

1) Keep writing: Whether you are a beginner or not, everyone can benefit from a bit of practice. You can practice my writing about topics that come up in your head and expanding on them until you are tired of it. You can write various poems and articles which will help you see where you are weak in and where you are strong in. Like all skills, with enough practice, you can achieve what you want.

2) Diversify yourself: Even if you are a romantic writer, you will still at times probably need to write about real life events and more. Writing can become a interest but it doesn’t mean that you should only write about things that you like. If you write about more things, more topics, you will become more aware, and will be able to use your skills in many fields.

3) Read a lot: When you write, you are actually practicing skills that you learn from reading. If you read a lot, you will be able to see patterns in various writing styles, you can see usages of literary elements and can see what makes good writing. Not only is reading enjoyable, it will make you better as a writer over time. When you read, a little part of their writing becomes part of yours. It is almost as if you are learning from another writer.

4) Think a lot: When you are writing, believe it or not, you have to really think about what will be written. If you are unable to think of a good plot or theme, it can become difficult to write about things. This is why it is important to learn how to think of ideas. Spend some time thinking and write all the ideas that come to you down. When you think more and more, you become better at thinking of many writing elements and it will come easier to you.

5) Know current events and the past: When you become a writer, it is important that you know what has happened before you and what is happening right now. When you look at how history has changed, you will be able to easily see cause and effect relationships and will have more to write about. Many of what we write today is a basis of what we see and know.

6) Connect to other topics: Again, when you write, you must know about other topics such as art and English because you are then able to connect ideas to different ideas leading to more ideas in general.

7) Surround yourself with people who like to write: When you operate as a group, you can share ideas and make it easily to write. writing does not have to be an individual thing. Work can be done faster this way.

8) Always perfect: When you first come up with an plot, you have a rough draft. However, when you write on, you have to correct mistakes and more. The final thing is the one that people read and that can be edited depending on how motivated you are. You can make a good writing a masterpiece if you really try.

Writing is a great thing to do but it is when you understand what must be done and how it should be done. Keep writing because ideas will die without them.

How To Prepare A Speech Using the Hamburger Sandwich Approach

“Help! I have to give a speech. What do I do?” my business colleague asked me.
Business people are asked frequently to speak in front of a group. New authors
must speak to organizations and businesses so that they can promote their books.
Speaking in front of an audience can be scary if it is new to you. The following four
simple steps will help you plan and prepare your next speech.

The four elements used to prepare your speech are:

The creative idea
The attention getting opening
The purposeful body
The powerful close/conclusion/climax

Now let’s take a deeper look at the four elements and visualize a hamburger
sandwich as we go through the parts.

1. The creative idea. (The planning and preparation of the hamburger.)

Identify and know your topic clearly. Choose something you know real well.
Choose a subject that appeals to your audience’s mind, emotions, and senses.

Write down the conclusion you want to reach.
Once you have all of the above information, you are ready to prepare your
speech.

2. The opening. (Top hamburger bun.)

Catch immediate attention. Open with a question, some startling
statement, or a fact that will catch your audience’s attention.
Arouse your audience’s interest with your opening statement.
Tell them the purpose of your speech. Many times inexperienced
speakers ramble on and the audience doesn’t know where the speaker is going with
the speech.
Let them know early the purpose of your speech and the
audience will follow you just like they would follow the ball players in a baseball
game.

3. The body. (The meat of the hamburger.)

Contains support for your purpose. Present your first key point and
have your supporting information following—usually 2-3 supporting ideas under
each key point. Do this with every point and you will not get lost. Just remember
that you are working on the “meat (middle) of the hamburger.” Use three key points
for every 15 minutes. This is a good way to measure your time.
Include stories, personal experiences, examples and anecdotes when
appropriate.
Include facts, proof, or rebuttal of opposing views.
Use visual aids (handouts, overheads, slides, video, etc.) when
appropriate to help your audience remember your points. But don’t overdo it. If
you use lots of visuals then your audience will remember the visuals and not you.
Unless it is a technical presentation use visuals only when you feel it is needed to
reach a point.

4. The powerful close/conclusion/climax. (Bottom bun.)

Tie in the ending with your opening. Take a look at your opening
again and here is where you will tie it in to the ending. Your audience will
remember this. Make it a well-remembered ending.
Finish forcefully and confidently. That doesn’t mean shout. It means
get your point across with confidence. That you know it and believe it.
May be the only thing the audience remembers. That’s right. After
hours of planning and preparing your speech and honing it down to a 15, 30 or 45-
minute presentation, your conclusion/close/climax may be the only thing the
audience remembers so make it memorable.

The next time you have to give a speech remember the “hamburger sandwich
approach.” It is an easy way to remember the parts of your speech. If you follow
the tips here your audience will love you. Do not memorize your speech. Use an
outline or keywords while giving your speech. Speak from the heart. If you miss
something the audience will not know it—just keep on going. Always remember to
end your speech on time or earlier—they will love you and REMEMBER you for it.

Email Alerts of Online Articles Makes Good Sense

If you have a website and you need more content on a certain subject then it makes a whole lot of sense to find a very high-upload rate online article submission site and get their daily online email alerts and ready those articles which indeed seem worthy for your subject matter. It is also a great idea to do this if you have an Email Ezine that you send out to check up on content. Further it is a great tool for online article authors too.

In fact I would recommend that the writers who are specializing in categories or areas of expertise to use this awesome feature, to help you and your writing. You will learn new ways to approach the subject and be able to create new articles coming from different angles on the subject matter. This will allow you to have additional perspectives and dive deeper into your subject matter and when you write about a subject coming from all angles and encircling the issues you end up with additional key words in the articles.

This is good because not all human brains are used in the same way or problem solve similarly and therefore you may reach a whole new audience of people who are looking for things and searching them in a different way. I hope all this makes sense. I think I should put together some more articles on this subject of how brains think and how Internet Article Marketers and writers can take advantage of this fact. Good stuff indeed. Consider all this in 2006.
